Saratoga’s homegrown chanteuse Sarah Pedinotti returned to her old ‘burgh from her current Brooklyn digs, bringing Railbird upstate as part of an exciting triple-bill on Thursday, November 8th.

First seen around town in her family’s One Caroline Street bistro and in such haunts as Caffe Lena and the Parting Glass, the ever-morphing artist is well-removed from those days of being a cafe-jazz songstress. After a nice detour into Americana, Railbird is now pushing exciting new stakes with its version of airy psychedelic electro-pop, as highlighted in its recent Jump Ship single, which features help from local kindred partners Sean Rowe and Phantogram’s own Sarah Barthel (see accompanying video, above).

Joining the bill were be the neo-baroque collective Cuddle Magic, weaving its “mutant pop rock folk” (Folk and Music Exchange) throughout the room. Opening up at 9PM was the interesting Wisconson new-folk trio The Daredevil Christopher  Wright, whom Gramophone praised for its ability to “set themselves apart from all the loneliness and weepies.”
